Volunteer Background Checks and Clearances
At Northwest we strive to ensure a safe environment for our players and their families. An important aspect of ensuring a safe environment is our commitment to follow all federal, state, and Little League International regulations for our volunteers.

In order to volunteer to work with the Northwest players, in any capacity, the volunteer must have the following three items completed prior to being allowed to volunteer:
1.    PA Criminal Background Check:  Performed free of charge here, this background check should be sent to [email protected] once completed and is good for five years from the date of completion.

2.    PA Child Abuse Clearance: Performed free of charge here, this clearance should be sent to [email protected] once completed, and is good for five years from the date of completion.

3.    Little League Background Check: Performed through JDP, this background check must be completed annually for all volunteers. The Northwest Safety Coordinator will email a special link to you in order to complete the free background check.


ASAP Safety Plan
Northwest also complies with the requirements of Little League International in all 15 areas of our qualified, A Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) Safety Plan. This plan is updated every year and the 2023 plan can be accessed here.
